It’s our biggest FEMME FOLKS FEST yet!

Our 4th Annual Fest offers 39 events over 13 days, all live and in-person at 8 venues throughout Waterloo Region. For 2023 we concentrate once more on artist creation, collaboration and things that spark delight. Come share in our artists’ offerings as we make our way out of Winter’s dark and into the new Spring.

New and Featured for 2023 is the premiere of an original Theatre for Young Audience play, Punk Flea Market and Music Fest, a community Fashion Forward collaboration for all eco-warriors plus workshops in Comedy Writing, Intuitive Practice, and Femme Wrestling.

That’s not all – works-in-process presentations in Circus Arts, Indigenous storytelling and textile art, contemporary dance and our second annual Projection Parade of Femme Creation featuring National and Regional visual artists. This very special event occurs over 5-nights in Uptown Waterloo. Last years’ parade was witnessed by more than 24,000.

Keep an eye on our Instagram and twitter as we announce daily Pop-Up events in partnership with Waterloo Public Library over March Break. These events are free, as are more than a dozen of our Fest events.

Sign up HERE for the Daily Heartbeat which lists each day’s activities so you don’t miss a single event!

Femme Folks Fest acknowledges that we are located on the Haldimand Tract, land promised to Six Nations, which included six miles on each side of the Grand River. We are on the traditional territory of the Attawandaron (Neutral Confederacy), Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples.
